Seibert Architects is pleased to announce that the AIA Florida Gulfcoast has awarded our firm with the Honor Award for Architecture Historic Preservation for the Rees-Schulaner Residence.
Seibert Architects working closely with Interior Designer Seth Schulaner, provided the restoration which focused on reinvigorating the original finishes and the introduction of modern conveniences which reinforced the original design's enduring value.
Strong indoor-to-outdoor connections are emphasized, along with the expression of structural systems and use of local standardized materials, which include stacked masonry units and regionally milled lumber and timbers.
This home has not only withstood the test of time, but continues to be relevant in today's world of environmental consciousness.
